London Bisexual Group Programme

Here is the programme for the Discussion Group at LBG May to September 2000.

This old programme should help you get a flavour of the sorts of events we run at LBG.

12th May Personal Journeys How have our lives been affected by our sexuality?
19th May Arguing Against Homophobia The recent Section 28 debate stirred up a lot of debate in the media, with a lot of bigoted letters published. But what can we say in response to bigots?
26th May Video: "Chasing Amy" A naive straight boy falls in love with an experienced bi girl. Can it work?
2nd June Relationships with Monosexuals Sometimes you fall for someone who's not bisexual. How can we help our straight or gay partners to understand bisexuality?
9th June Bisexual Musicians Many popular musicians are bisexual. In this workshop we will listen to some work by famous bisexuals and sing along with some less famous ones. Bring instruments if you have them.
16th June Video: "Get Real" Steven is 16, at school, gay and in love with the Head Boy. Can their love survive the closet?
23rd June Party Lots of people have birthdays in June, so come in your best party clothes for an evening of music and games. You may bring alcohol to this social, which will start at 8pm.
30th June Transformations A dressing up workshop. Polaroid cameras will be provided!
7th July Quiz Night Come and join in our pub quiz. Questions will be about London, bisexuality, and general knowledge.
14th July Disabled partners What issues are there if your partner is disabled? How can disabled people meet partners? A panel of disabled people answer your questions.
21st July Video: "Bedrooms and Hallways" A film about "the fluid nature of sexuality". I haven't seen it, but it's supposed to be good!
28th July Pub night If you find the discussion group too formal for you, come along to our pub night. We'll be leaving London Friend at 8.30pm to explore bi-friendly pubs around Kings Cross.
